Bacterial infection of the skin is not an uncommon condition. Boils, folliculitis, furuncles are some forms of manifestation of bacterial skin infections. They usually appear as red, painful bumps with pus inside them.

I literally went to the doctor with a slight limp because of the huge and painful boil on my thigh but it got better just in a matter of few days and I was back to playing basketball.
